The Fool 2024
The Fool is the first in a series of three Gruner Veltliner wines from our Hecate's Key Estate Vineyard. The Fool was hand-picked early in the 2024 harvest season.
Steinfeder Style, translates to "Grass Blowing in the Wind", with lemon meringue, celery salt, hyssop flower and fresh grass on the nose. Salted sweet lemon, chamomile and celery on the finish.
Our Grüner series offers a snapshot in time and place-- each Gruner bottling was harvested a couple weeks apart, progressing in ripeness as we moved through our Autumn harvest. Take home all three Grüners--The Fool, The Devil, & The World, to taste our Estate Grüner ripening on the vine during Autumn of 2024!

Made from Grüner Veltliner and Steinfeder in style, the 2022 The Fool is fresh, lemony and zesty with hints of celery and chervil on the nose. Light-bodied, nimble and fresh, the palate offers succulent acidity that lifts the food-friendly finish. This delivers well at a fantastic price. Drink now- 2027. 2022 AniChe Cellars ‘The Fool’ Gruner Veltliner- The 2022 ‘The Fool’ weights in at under 12% alcohol and also hails from the Columbia Gorge AVA. This is bright with plenty of mouth-watering acidity once on the entry. Layers of green papaya and gooseberry combine with hints of nectarine and wet gravel notes on the palate. Neatly textured, this is really going to rock with Thai food. Drink 2023-2030- 91 points, Owen Bargreen
