The World 2024
The World is the third in a series of three Gruner Veltliner wines from our Hecate's Key Estate Vineyard. These grapes were hand-picked late in the 2024 harvest season.
Late Harvest. Smaragd Style, translates to "Lizard basking on a rock,” with funky sweet almonds, cardamom brioche, vanilla, baked spiced apples, and a round mouthfeel.
Drink now until 2032.
Our Grüner series offers a snapshot in time and place-- each Gruner bottling was harvested a couple weeks apart, progressing in ripeness as we moved through our Autumn harvest. 2024 AniChe Cellars ‘The World’ Gruner Veltliner- A beautiful wine from this warm vintage, the 2024 AniChe Cellars ‘The World’ Gruner Veltliner is dense and rich, showing plenty of stuffing. Honeydew melon, salted cashew nut and pastry crust notes combine with lush mandarin orange on the palate. You are going to love this dense bottling that has a long way to go in the cellar. 2022 AniChe Cellars ‘The World’ Gruner Veltliner- The 2022 ‘The World’ was picked later in the season, also coming from the Hecate’s Key Estate Vineyard. It has a touch of sweetness and shows beautiful concentration, with walnut, buttered French bread, and Pizzaz apple flavors that mingle well with honeydew melon.
