2018 Goat Boy 92 points- A blend of 63% Cabernet Sauvignon and 37% Merlot, the 2018 Goat Boy offers a big, bold and juicy nose with open and accessible succulent expressions. Medium to full-bodied, the wine is gorgeous on the palate, with a generous frame and juicy blackberry and dusty plum layers that uncoil across the mid-palate. It ends with a rich and fresh finish. Drink now-2032. Anthony Mueller, RP Wine Advocate

2016 Goat Boy- The 2016 ‘Goat Boy’ blends Cabernet Sauvignon (50%) and Merlot (36%) with small parts Petit Verdot and Malbec. The palate is rich and delicious, already quite evolved with its good core of red and dark fruits, alongside chocolate and damp earthy tones. The texture and length add to the enjoyment. Enjoy this great wine over the next five to seven years.  Drink 2021-2027- 91 points

Goat Boy 2015

93 points - "Some dark, iodine-like notes, as well as oyster shell and concentrated dark ripe berries lead to a palate that has a very succulent and lithe feel. Long, sweet berry flavors hold impressively fresh. Blend of cabernet sauvignon, merlot, petit verdot and malbec. Drink or hold."  James Suckling Reports

92 points - The ‘Goat Boy’ is a Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Petit Verdot heavy wine that shows deep chocolate and sagebrush aromatics that entice. Once on the mouth, generous layers of dark fruits invade as the chocolate cake tones offer an err of decadence. This generous, hedonistic Bordeaux style wine is seriously good in its youth and will provide drinking enjoyment for at least another eight to ten years. Goat Boy 2014

92 points - "The ‘Goat Boy’ is a Bordeaux style of mainly Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. The palate shows good richness and intensity with a wonderful mouthfeel. Black tea, black cherry and green bell peppers align beautifully in the glass. Rich and poised, this will have a long life in the cellar." International Wine Report/Owen Bargreen

“Underwood Mountain’s Rachael Horn has produced this blend of Bordeaux varieties for three vintages now, and the Gorge winemaker grabs from Washington’s Alder Ridge and Double Canyon to come up with Cabernet Sauvignon (43%), Merlot (29%), Malbec (14%) and Petit Verdot. Her use of new French oak (20%) gives it a dark theme of black cherry, black currant and Baker’s chocolate, capped by a rich tannin structure and finished with a dash of black pepper and splash of vanilla extract.”
