Goat Boy is a fan favorite for so many of you club members. And for us, too! Rachael thinks of Goat Boy as "the wine I make for me." 2013 was a warm year in Washington state, producing wines with brighter fruit flavors that are still kickin' in this decade old beauty-- black currant and  blackberry galore! The fruit leads into hints of olive, garam masala spice, leather and tobacco. FULL bodied! So damn good!

Goat Boy 2011

  • EXCELLENT- Great Northwest Wine
“Underwood Mountain’s Rachael Horn has produced this blend of Bordeaux varieties for three vintages now, and the Gorge winemaker grabs from Washington’s Alder Ridge and Double Canyon to come up with Cabernet Sauvignon (43%), Merlot (29%), Malbec (14%) and Petit Verdot. Her use of new French oak (20%) gives it a dark theme of black cherry, black currant and Baker’s chocolate, capped by a rich tannin structure and finished with a dash of black pepper and splash of vanilla extract.”
